Workers Compensation:
The benefit for a spouse or spouse and children is 2/3 of average weekly earnings from regular employment. There is a two-year lump-sum payable if the spouse remarries, and weekly benefits cease. Children are eligible until age 18 or longer if disabled and incapable of self-support, or age 22 if full-time student, or beyond age 23 if on active duty in the Armed Forces.

Public Service Survivor Grant Program provides assistance for children under age 24 enrolled in a program leading to a certificate or an associate or baccalaureate degree at participating Missouri postsecondary schools. The maximum grant amount is the amount of tuition charged to a Missouri undergraduate enrolled full-time in the equivalent program at the University of Missouri, Columbia. Dependent stepchildren are also eligible for this benefit.

Provides financial assistance with mortgages, health and dental coverage, tuition and educational payments, and other general assistance. Serves the City of St. Louis, and the Missouri Counties of St. Louis, Jefferson, St. Charles, and Franklin.

Within hours of a line-of-death, the family receives a $3,000 check. At an appropriate time, Guardians office visit the family to review its financial situation. Traditionally, The Guardians assume existing debts, including home mortgage payments or commensurate amounts for rent. If not already covered, The Guardians offers the family prepaid medical and dental coverage and hospitalization. Children in grades 1-12 can receive up to $2,000 per school year. Loans or grants for higher education may also be provided. Provides support to families of all fallen local, county and university police and fire department members. |
