Wildfire Community Preparedness Day Grants Available

The NFPA and State Farm are offering $500 grants to support Wildfire Community Preparedness Day projects. Prep Day (May 1) brings people and organizations together to raise awareness and take action to reduce wildfire risks. Get ready for Prep Day by training your department’s volunteers on how to conduct home safety assessments in the wildland-urban interface. A free online course and resources are available through the NVFC and U.S. Forest Service’s Wildland Fire Assessment Program.
