FEMA Hosting Listening Sessions for Fire Departments That Did Not Apply for AFG Funding in FY2021

Only 30% of U.S. fire departments applied for Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) funding in FY 2021. FEMA is hosting a series of listening sessions for departments that didn’t apply to better understand the challenges and barriers departments face when it comes to applying for AFG. The remaining listening sessions will take place August 10 at 12pm ET and August 11 at 5pm ET and 7pm ET.
