Many EMS and fire-rescue agencies see fewer than eight pediatric patients per month, leaving EMS clinicians feeling less than comfortable or confident when caring for children. Pediatric readiness can reduce anxiety and increase confidence. The National Prehospital Pediatric Readiness Project has launched an online assessment that provides agencies with an objective picture of their current pediatric readiness and identifies areas for improvement.
