Why are you an NVFC member?
I am proud to be a member of an organization that is dedicated to the volunteer fire and emergency services. The NVFC provides our volunteers with an informed voice on key issues affecting our health, safety, and ever demanding mission. My fellow first responders and I have benefited greatly from the many training programs available to us.

What is your occupation?
Retired corrections officer

Why are you a fire service volunteer?
I joined the volunteer fire service to be a part of a dedicated group of volunteers in my community who respond to emergencies.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
1984

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
The most important moments of my career as a volunteer firefighter are seeing the smiles and waves from young and old alike when we engage with the community. I am honored to be part of a group of dedicated people who respond to emergencies and provide public service and educational programs.

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
We constantly provide fire prevention and safety education for our community. We donated a complete playground equipment set and provided the materials and manpower to assemble it onsite.
