New Course Now Available: Using Your Community’s Vulnerabilities to Raise Wildfire Awareness

In community risk reduction, vulnerability is the likelihood that an individual or group will suffer harm or loss from a hazardous environment or event. The NVFC has released a new course, instructed by Debbie Carpenter, to help you identify vulnerability types in your community, personalize the risk that wildfire presents in your response areas, and help community members embrace mitigation efforts and protection plans. Thanks to a grant from the U.S. Forest Service, take this course free for a limited time in the NVFC Virtual Classroom.
