Why are you an NVFC member?
Mister Rogers’ famous quote tells you to “look for the helpers.” NVFC is a group that fosters collaboration and helping those very people that are doing the helping day in and day out! Volunteerism has been said to be in crisis status across the country, yet this group exhibits thinking outside the box – no fire pun intended.

What is your occupation?
Self employed

Why are you a fire service volunteer?
Faith led me to be a part of something greater than myself and to help my community.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
2017

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
Experiencing my first fire and putting a knock on the flames – feeling all of the training kick in to make a difference.

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
We have built community engagement programs by partnering with national foundations, cadet camps and internships to inspire youth, live-in programs to encourage daytime responders, and more!
