NVFC Welcomes New Staff Members

Three staff members joined the National Volunteer Fire Council (NVFC) in September. Please join us in welcoming the newest members of our team!

Brittney Deo, digital media manager, helps communicate the NVFC’s initiatives with a focus on digital media including social media management, outreach campaigns, and e-communications. Brittney began her career as a writer/producer in broadcast news and has spent the past nine years as a digital content producer and marketing consultant. She earned her bachelor’s degree in information science and esociety from the University of Arizona College of Information Science.

Amanda Tegtmeyer, training coordinator, helps implement the NVFC’s educational initiatives and provides responders with the tools and knowledge they need for their professional development. This includes in-person and live online trainings as well as maintaining and expanding the Virtual Classroom. Amanda has over eight years of experience in coordinating public safety training and received her bachelor’s degree from Western Illinois University.

Ryne Eyestone has joined the NVFC this semester as the legislative intern. In this role, he assists with advocacy initiatives to advance the interests and priorities of the volunteer emergency services. A native of Iowa, Ryne will graduate from Luther College in Decorah (IA) in December and has a passion for helping and advocating for others.
