Bike Ride Raises Funds to Support Firefighter Behavioral Health Initiatives

For the third year, Marc Warren completed a one-day, 100 percent human powered bike ride in June through the 150-mile Great Allegheny Passage to raise awareness about the importance of firefighter and EMS mental health. This year’s ride was in honor of NVFC CEO Heather Schafer, who passed away in March. The ride raised $4,000 for the NVFC’s Share the Load behavioral health support program.
