A Wildland Fire Assessment Program (WFAP) course will be held at the Las Cumbres Community Center in Los Gatos, CA. The WFAP is brought to you by the National Volunteer Fire Council and U.S. Forest Service to help fire departments conduct home safety assessments in the wildland-urban interface (WUI). The course trains participants to evaluate a home and provide residents with recommendations that will mitigate their wildfire risks and make their property more fire-adapted. This free, four-hour train-the-trainer course covers understanding the WUI problem, identifying the zones, evaluating the home, and available resources. This class is brought to you by the South Skyline FireSafe Council.
