Tell Congress How OSHA’s Proposed Emergency Response Standard Would Harm Your Department

As the Occupational Safety and Health Administration’s (OSHA) November 12 public hearing on its proposed Emergency Response Standard approaches, tell your member of Congress and Senators how this standard would harm your department if adopted as written.

Though OSHA’s proposed Emergency Response Standard is an Executive Branch action and Congress does not vote on the adoption of the final standard, it is important to continue to make Congress aware of the potential negative impacts of this standard due to its function of overseeing and funding OSHA. To assist you in reaching out to your legislators the NVFC has produced this Advocacy One Pager and this Legislative Action Alert, which allows you to contact your Representative and Senators with just a couple of clicks.

Find additional information and resources about the proposed standard on the NVFC’s OSHA landing page.
