Volunteer Firefighter Support Fund Helps Responders Impacted by Disasters

Largescale disasters like wildfires and floods affect the same responders protecting their neighbors. For 17 years, the NVFC has been providing assistance to volunteer responders impacted by disasters through the Volunteer Firefighter Support Fund. Eligible firefighters and EMS providers whose homes are damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster or home fire can apply for a $350 stipend to help meet their basic needs in the aftermath.
