Why are you an NVFC member?
It has been the voice of the volunteer fire service for many years. Its ability to stay on top of issues that impact volunteers across the U.S. has been amazing!

What is your occupation?
Retired school administrator

Why are you a fire service volunteer?
To give back to a community that has been so good to me.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
1977

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
Leading 82 volunteer firefighters as their chief. Also, making connections with our school district to provide our children with fire and life safety education.

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
Contributions in my eyes are the days that we all go home to our families after incidents impacting our community. Our ability as volunteers to develop fire and life safety initiatives yearly will save lives. Enhancing our training to meet the rigorous demands of a changing fire service.
