Why are you an NVFC member?
Training ideas and information on what is going on in different departments across the nation. [Learning about] new firefighting equipment and how it is used in the fire service.

What is your occupation?
Assistant chief

Why are you a fire service volunteer?
I love helping my neighbors in times of need. I love training new members with old and new technology in the fire service, showing the members how to think outside of the box to trouble shoot and show that one tool can be used in more ways than one.

What year did you join the fire or emergency service?
1987

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
Helping in training new people and updating my own knowledge to more modern ways of doing a task.
And being here to help people in my neighborhood that are my neighbors.

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
Being here to help neighbors in whatever their needs are, whether it is a house fire or someone sick or having a heart attack, and providing fast and quick response to those in need.
