Why are you a fire service volunteer?
It’s a passion. It’s the excitement. It’s interesting.

What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
2005

What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
I had three kids and a mother hit by a distracted driver. They were walking on a Main Street. I held one crying baby and treated that kid with patience and reassurance. A couple months after, I found out one of the kids had a brain bleed from that accident. They all recovered. And it was nice to see they were okay.

What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
We have the local volunteer firefighters association that receives donations and reinvests it into our department. We also run multiple events for the public.
