My first call was on Independence Day. It was very loud, and our patient was experiencing some anxiety due to PTSD. I could relate to my patient in a very personal sense as I, too, had been deployed to a combat tour myself. We were able to provide comfort and aid until paramedics arrived to transport our patient.
What contributions have you (and your department) made in your community?
Improved service and additional training in swiftwater rescue.
