Volunteer Spotlight: Tim Cramblit
Name: Tim Cramblit
Title: Deputy Chief
Department: Central Cascades Fire & EMS
Location: Crescent Lake, OR
Why are you an NVFC member?
As a public servant, I feel that it is my duty to learn, train, and pursue education and service opportunities whenever possible. While there are obvious differences between West Coast and East Coast fire departments, we all still share that passion for public service and a desire to get better at what we do. I believe that we have an obligation to continually search for new information, methods, support, training, funding, etc. and to share that information with others in service to our communities. We are not in this alone.
What is your occupation?
Firefighter/paramedic/fire chief (retired)/deputy chief/consultant
What year did you join the fire or emergency services?
1975
What are your memorable moments as a firefighter or EMS provider?
Working with and as a team to save lives and property, delivering babies, extricating trapped people, helping to make a terrible event a bit more tolerable for folks. Working to bring calm, safety, and stability to an otherwise catastrophic event. Supporting my teams and the communities that we have served.
