The National Volunteer Fire Council, in collaboration with the International Public Safety Data Institute, has developed three new calculators to help volunteer and combination emergency service departments determine the financial benefits utilizing volunteers brings to the department and community.

Volunteer Department Retention Value Calculator
Calculate the retention value of all volunteers for their donated time to your department for the current year.

Career Versus Volunteer Comparison Calculator
Calculate the cost of positions if staffed by career responders, showing the cost savings of volunteers filling those positions.
